Implement one defined investment workflow.
Agree the scope, baseline and acceptance criteria before building.
Documents, periods and the figures they support.
Define the requirement and baseline
Select a recurring investment screen or reporting process with a clear owner. Record the inputs, preparation work and review responsibilities. Agree how to assess the result, including preparation time, corrections and evidence completeness, before the implementation begins.
Test the complete workflow
Map the records required for the agreed output. Confirm access, retention and review ownership. Test normal cases alongside missing inputs, conflicting evidence and changes that should be rejected. The acceptance test should cover the full path from source to reviewed output.
- Discover: one decision, its inputs and its acceptance test.
- Structure: identities, definitions and permission boundaries.
- Prove: a source linked result that the responsible reviewer can check.
- Embed: ownership, documentation and an agreed next scope.
Agree ownership before extending scope
Review the pilot with the analysts, operations team and CIO. Document the accepted process, support responsibilities and remaining gaps. Scope, price and timing are specific to the engagement. Extend the implementation when the first workflow meets the agreed criteria.
